Dear Authors,

Once again thank you for submitting your extended abstract to the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Industrial Applications (AIR 2018) and congratulations on getting accepted. We now require you to make the necessary changes to your paper, proceed with conference registration and also prepare your presentation

1. CAMERA-READY EXTENDED ABSTRACT

Please take into consideration all comments on your abstract. These can be found in the notification email that you have received. Please make the necessary changes and improvements (if required) before submitting a final camera ready Extended Abstract to the Microsoft’s CMT site. All abstracts are to be included in the conference proceedings, which will have an ISBN.

2. JOURNAL SUBMISSION

As has been agreed, selected submissions in AIR 2018 will be included in a SCOPUS-indexed journal. We therefore require all authors to re-write and expand your one-page Extended Abstract to become a full journal paper, 6-8 pages in length.

Your submission should follow the Jurnal Teknologi format, which can be downloaded HERE. The length should be between 6 to 8 pages long, including figures and references. Please elaborate on:-

-Introduction
-Literature Review
-Methodology
-Analysis of Results
-Conclusion

The deadline for both corrected Extended Abstract and full Journal Paper submission is 30th September 2018. Both your paper files should be sent within a Zip/RAR file to the Microsoft CMT submission site under the “Camera-Ready” tab.

Failure to comply shall mean that your paper will not be considered for publication in the SCOPUS-indexed journal. However, you may still attend and present the paper at AIR 2018 provided that you have registered.

3. REGISTRATION

Registration details can be found here: http://air2018.utm.my/registration/

Only accepted and registered papers will be considered for presentation at AIR 2018. Please also note that each registered author is entitled to present up to two (2) papers.

4. SLIDES PRESENTATION

Here are some guidelines relating to your presentation:-

  1. Your presentation slot will be during one of the parallel technical sessions in the afternoon of both conference days (28th and 29th November 2018).
  2. Each presentation lasts for 15 minutes: 12 minutes presentation and 3 minutes Q&A.
  3. Slide format is preferably Powerpoint, though other softwares may also be used (subject to feasibility).
  4. A laptop will be provided at each parallel technical session. Please just bring a Pen Drive containing your slides and upload it onto the laptop.
  5. After all papers have been presented, the Session Chair will continue with a wrap-up session comprising a dialogue between the presenters (academicians and lecturers) and the audience (mainly industry players). This is aimed at finding opportunities for collaboration, and bridging between technology and application. We encourage you to stay back a while for this session.
  6. Please bear in mind that most of the participants to AIR 2018 will comprise industry players – leaders, managers, engineers and professionals, who are looking to capitalise on your expertise to solve their industrial needs. Therefore, we prefer that your presentation to not be too technical. Please emphasise on the potential applications of your work especially in the context of the Manufacturing Industry.
  7. Your presentation schedule will be confirmed once we are nearer to the conference date. You can view updates at the Microsoft CMT site.

Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to hosting you at AIR 2018!
